The 'institution of marriage' is being threatened - by people getting married? Huh?

The institution of marriage has been undermined by the so-called “get married” movement. What is a "get married" movement? It is a movement that seeks to redefine marriage and strip it of any religious, cultural, or moral meaning. The campaign to "get married" seeks to tie our laws and culture to a human institution that is not based on reason. In this day and age, when the institution of marriage is being threatened by people getting married, then what exactly is that threat? Who are these people who are trying to undermine our basic belief in the institution of marriage? They are just people trying to redefine marriage in order to have their own version of it.

So what exactly is it they want? Human beings invented marriage. Marriage has nothing to do with love or romance or any kind of attraction whatsoever. Marriage has always been about procreation and raising children.

For thousands of years, marriage has been driven by those two simple facts: sex and childbirth. But now these same people who are trying to destroy the institution of marriage are claiming that marriage has something to do with love or romance or attraction or any other nonsense that does not have anything at all to do with procreation and child rearing.
